Clallam County Commissioner Mike French is a former small business owner, with 15 years of experience operating a restaurant in downtown Port Angeles. Prior to being elected as a County Commissioner, he served five years as an elected member of the Port Angeles City Council. His local gaming group regularly plays trading card games, Dungeons & Dragons, and strategic board games (Dune Imperium being his current favorite). He won the 2004 Las Vegas Premiere Series Event tournament for the Lord of the Rings Trading Card Game, and still has the oversized novelty check to prove it.
