Tom Sewid
Kwakwaka’wakw/Cree First Nation artist and operator of Sasquatch Island
Tom Sewid has swiftly become a prominent figure in the Sasquatch community by sharing his encounters and life experiences in British Columbia, particularly in an area rich with written reports and signs, where his Kwakwaka’wakw First Nations tribe refers to him as Dzoonakwa (Sasquatch).
The Kwakwaka'wakw First Nations tribe sees Sasquatch as an integral part of the eco-system of earth, with sasquatch being placed at the highest point of their sacred totem poles and one of the most important part of the Potlatch when the new tribal Chief is selected. Tom goes into his own stories and experiences with the Dzoonakwa up close and personal. He runs Sasquatch Island alongside his wife Peggy. Learn more at https://sasquatchisland.com/

Sasquatch ISLAND SHOW | SUNday, April 12 12PM-2PM
Tom Sewid and Peggy Seaview enthrall an audience with their Kwakwaka’wakw First Nations (Vancouver Island coast Indian Tribe) performance focused on Sasquatch. Tom’s Kwakwaka’wakw Tribe has the closest tie to Sasquatch/Dzoonakwa than any other Tribe on Sasquatch Island( a.k.a. North America). Tom shares the Kwakwaka’wakw Tribe stories of Dzoonakwa and his own experiences seeing, hearing, and smelling Sasquatch during his lifetime working in the wilderness and as a commercial fisherman on the British Columbia coast. The highlight of their mesmerizing stage performance is when the numerous traditional masks and regalia from Thomas’s Kwakwaka’wakw family enter the stage with Peggy performing dances one rarely gets to witness unless they attend a Potlatch.
